Simcoe, Ontario is a solid place to live. I love it. Though my wife may want to make frequent trips to Hamilton, I still feel like we have everything we need right in Simcoe. As a matter of food, we've got a steady supply of super chicken at Superstore - Their Wednesday deal is to die for. Seriously! Once the kids actually start behaving in a predictable way, we may also start to be able to go to the Combine restaurant a little more often. There was a brief period in 2015 where we could actually make it to a sit down meal. In 2016 that has yet to become a reality.

If there's one thing we have an over supply of in Simcoe, it may be the grocery stores. Though on summer nights, especially on Friday and Saturday, you can definitely see why and how our town can support all of these grocery stores. The migrant workers do the dirty work that others feel isn't for them, that's fine. This does put a lot of dollars back in to the Simcoe economy. So in a sense, it just keeps circulating, and that's fine :)

For the day, it might be the new phrase to keep check on just how cool things are in Simcoe.

Schools in Simcoe

The schools in Simcoe are great, especially West Lynn. That's where my kids go, and though there was recent concern that the school may close due to limited students in the area, Though that seems to have reversed and now it looks as though another school in Simcoe may close instead. Elgin could very well be a fantastic educational institution, I don't have any first hand knowledge, so I can't truly comment, and I don't like making claims when I don't have the facts myself. Some may be okay doing that, but I will not. For now, that's fine.

Stucco is a leading building material that is used today in the construction of houses and buildings. Comprises an aggregate, water, and binder, it is applied wet and hardened to a solid form. Houses and buildings made of stucco can last a hundred years if the stucco is properly implemented. If a crack is noticed, the stucco must be immediately removed or repaired to avoid further damage.

Most of the damages that occur to stucco are caused by water penetration, which can be through the roof of the building, the chimney or any other opening. Because of water penetration, the wood lath deteriorates, and the nails and wire mesh will rust which causes the stucco to loosen.

More Information About Stucco Removal and Ceiling Repair

Removing stucco can be very dusty; protective clothing, goggles, and a mask are always recommended. Stucco removal is best accomplished by reducing the stucco with a knife by a chainsaw masonry. The blade should be set at a little less than the full thickness of the membrane charge, usually 3/4 inch. This will safeguard the weather-resistive (WR) membrane below from damage. Masonry blades wear out quickly, and will need to adjust the depth of the blade periodically. Stucco cuts should be about 12 to 24 inches away from the ceiling frame.

Vertical cuts can be further from the window they need to reach the next frame element (pin). As soon as you have completed the cutting, a chisel in the cutting saw can be placed and used to crack or break the last remaining uncut thickness of plaster. The slurry can then be subtracted from the ceiling with minimal damage to the underlying membrane WR. For large surfaces, elimination, it is proposed that the stucco cut into squares can be easily handled.
